Bitcoin Strategic Reserve Announced. Why Did Price Fall?

Two days ago the Bitcoin Strategic Reserve was finally announced.

Yet price dumped on the announcement.

Apparently because they didn’t explicitly say “we’re going to market buy 1 million BTC everyday till the end of human time”.

But here’s what the executive order on the strategic reserve means:

• BTC is recognized as a valuable strategic asset by the largest economy in the world.

• BTC and altcoins are now officially separated in US government policy. Altcoins seized won’t be sold, only Bitcoin is worth accumulating.

• Bessent and Lutnick authorized to develop budget neutral strategies for further acquisition.

Can’t possibly see how that’s bearish.

Budget neutral strategies could mean SELLING some assets (gold, real estate, cheese), and EXCHANGE it to Bitcoin.

It’s literally clear as day.

That’s much better than saying, we’re going to print more money to buy Bitcoin. That would have been so bad long term.

Trump is surrounded by Bitcoin bulls. They’re not going to sleep on this.

Imagine the headlines:

US Acquires Bitcoin For The First Time.

Then 3 months later:

More Bitcoin Acquired by US Government

Then 2 months later:

More Gold Being Sold To Acquire Bitcoin by US Government

The fact that Bitcoin is trading around $85k indicates that the market does NOT expect the government to buy any new Bitcoin.

So each time they do will be a MASSIVE shock that will send the market pumping.

We will have a bullish catalyst every few months.

BTW

Even if the BSR was not announced, the bull market would have resumed. It’s still on path to resume in 30-40 days.
